Word for the first week of October.

….in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

We know this scripture by heart. We’ve quoted it a lot of times. You know the part that was even left out of the full verse but let’s read it again.

Christ knew that we were sinners yet He made a choice to love us completely, regardless.

This is the example that he has laid down for us.

That even when we know who people truly are, you know that he’s dishonest, or he’s a liar or even a thief, that you make a conscious effort to love them.

That we learn to love people not because of who they are but because it’s a commandment. If Christ decides to love us based on who we are, we would remain unloved.

So just before you lash out on someone else, remind yourself that while you were a sinner, Christ died for you.
